Presenter Simon Reeve goes on a journey around the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to discover the culture, history and beliefs on the island. As well as experiencing the beautiful landscape, the host meets with local communities along the way to discuss their country's past. Over the episodes, Reeve explores the political and religious struggles that have formed life on the island as it is today. In the south Reeve gets a unique view of the scenery while paramotoring, before he climbs Croagh Patrick, named after Ireland's patron saint.
