Henry VIII and His Six Wives

This docudrama explores the life of Tudor King Henry VIII and his relationship with each one of his six wives. The historical events are described and depicted from the perspective of both the king himself and the women he married. Bringing it to life are historians Suzannah Lipscomb and Dan Jones, who delve into all of the romance, scandal and tragedy of the marriages. Drama reconstructions reveal the characters' perspectives at each stage of their lives. Episodes also chronicle the king's reign, from the moment he was crowned to his desperate attempts to produce a male heir.
