The house celebrates when Lady Agnes discovers she is pregnant, while Lady Persie falls under the spell of Oswald Mosley and his British Union of Fascists.

Lady Persie pursues her political interests with little regard to her family, while Sir Hallam gets dragged into the crisis facing the British monarchy.
