Westworld

Everything you need to know about Westworld

Based on the 1973 film of the same name and its sequel Futureworld, Westworld shoots us into the future of the 2050s, where a mysterious company called Delos Inc. has launched a collection of android-populated theme parks for paying guests to visit.
The Host androids within each park are hard-wired not to harm humans, and as such the guests can live out their fantasies however they see fit – even their violent or sexual urges.
At the end of each day, the Hosts’ memories are wiped as they recreate each day with the same narrative.
However, as we enter the Wild West-themed world in season one, we see the androids begin to develop feelings of their own and act out.
As engineers and programmers try to stifle the behavior and erase any issues with the sentient androids, the lives of those who visit, live, and control the park in reality begin to unravel the truth behind their existence.
Launching in October 2016 to widespread acclaim, Westworld ran for four seasons.
