The story follows a group of four childhood friends as they try to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of their fifth member, who went missing 20 years ago. After a devastating incident, Jesse was lost to them and presumed dead. Many years later and the boy's DNA is discovered at the scene of a murder. The discovery reunites the group, as they believe Jesse might still be alive. Danny, now a detective, gets involved in the investigation, while Jesse's older brother Mark offers his legal advice. Along with Pru and Slade, they all work together to get to the truth by digging up a dark history.
