Warning: Major spoilers ahead

Aidan comes to town to visit Carrie for a number of days, and the pair waste no time in catching up – although Carrie draws the line at giving him space in her closet, giving him one of his own.

After an afternoon together, Aidan notes his disappointment that he still hasn’t heard from his son, Wyatt, and admits that he had asked to live with Cathy from now on, meaning he is now living alone and that’s why he came to visit. When Carrie asks why Wyatt decided to move, Aidan jokes he “loves Cathy more” before saying he doesn’t know, and that he feels like he’s become the bad guy.

Getting ready for Charlotte’s event, Aidan says they should invite Duncan, causing Carrie to stumble and hesitate, playing down her friendship with their neighbour. Wanting to know more, Aidan later pries, asking Adam and Seema what they think of him, but they brand him a “meanie” and leave it at that.

That evening, Carrie continues work on her novel, writing that she felt like happiness had arrived on her doorstep – but fears it might get away from her again.

Miranda is happily surprised when Joy makes a surprise visit after her trip to Montreal. Joy gifts her a bottle of gin, not knowing Miranda no longer drinks. Miranda downplays it, but it’s clear she hasn’t told Joy that she’s an alcoholic.

Miranda later talks about the gin with Carrie and Charlotte. She wonders if she might not be an alcoholic, but “alcohol-ish” and only abused it because she was unhappy with her marriage. Perhaps she “overcorrected” and can possibly drink again? Carrie and Charlotte, however, are not so sure.

Later that night, while working and watching TV, Miranda finds herself comfort eating to distract herself from the bottle of gin. Sniffing it and even pouring herself a drop, she manages to resist it, throwing it down the sink and the bottle down the garbage chute.

Five days after his prostate cancer surgery, Harry is still lying in bed recovering. He is less than pleased that his nether regions are still swollen and can’t stop talking about it. Thankfully the surgery went well.

At work, Charlotte gets busy recreating an art piece from the 80s but finds herself feeling light-headed. Believing it was vertigo, she needs a moment.

At her event that evening, she’s joined by the girls, but she finds her head spinning once again and needs to sit down. When she sees Miranda about to drink, she stands up too quickly and collapses onto a performance piece of a dirty bed – complete with filled condom.

Heading home, Charlotte struggles to remain upright.

Seema is now having sex with Carrie’s hot gardener Adam. Heading out to dinner, the pair can’t resist mocking a woman who is putting on deodorant in the middle of the restaurant.

He admits he never uses deodorant, which puts her off, but he says he doesn’t believe in it. She also finds out his last name is Carmen, which catches her off-guard as well.

Lisa admits to Charlotte she had a sex dream about her hot editor, Marion, and feels guilty about it. She admits that she flirts a little with him while they work, but Charlotte tries to reassure her about it, saying that it’s sometimes natural to do a little flirting.

The next morning, while in bed, Lisa tries to initiate sex with Herbert as he wakes up, which shocks him. Unfortunately, he ruins it by going to the bathroom first and asking her to add things to their shopping list as he does so.

At work, Marion distracts Lisa as he eats a papaya, asking questions that seem suggestive – including how much time they spend together. He invites her to a screening, which she turns down, saying that she’s going to Charlotte’s gallery opening. However, after hearing the Obamas are going to be at the screening, and desperate to get Michelle Obama for her documentary, she changes her mind.

Lisa tells Herbert they have a “work thing” at home, and she hesitates before explaining and he understands, but she’s clearly worked up.

When the movie proves to be too sexy for Lisa, she makes her excuses and leaves, heading to the grocery store instead.

At Charlotte’s art event, Gia tries to woo the artist into buying pieces for Giuseppe and can’t resist taking a jab at Anthony’s age and height once again.

Giuseppe tries to shut her down, saying that he loves him, and later tries to convince Anthony to have her over for dinner to clear the air.
