Warning: Major spoilers ahead

Carrie

Waking up in Aidan’s guest house in Virginia, Carrie meets Aidan and his sons painting the house. While Homer is happy to see her, even offering her clothes (as hers were left behind in her broken-down rental car) Wyatt is noticeably indifferent, barely saying hello to her.

With Tate coming to visit for his 21st birthday next week, Aidan asks if she can stay that long, and Carrie seems happy to agree, with Homer offering to drive her to get some clothes. Wyatt seizes this as an opportunity not to paint the house, noticeably wanting to get out of it, but Aidan won’t allow it. Instead, Carrie drives the family ATV to a local store.

Once back at the house, Aidan and Carrie enjoy the day in bed together. He asks her if she can spend time with the boys to get to know them. She’s hesitant but agrees, but Wyatt is set against it, not seeing the point.

As she takes the boys fishing, Wyatt complains that he hates fishing, prompting Carrie to ask what he wants to do instead. With Aidan joining them, they head to a virtual reality zombie-killing game, but things go awry when Wyatt accidentally hits Carrie in the head with a gun. Wyatt says he didn’t mean to, but Carrie gets annoyed when Aidan tells her “not to make him feel bad”.

Tate arrives with Cathy and her boyfriend Bob for the birthday dinner, with Bob admitting it was hard to “break in” to the family, noting it's taken him four years to do so, and that there’s still moments where he clashes with Aidan. He also reveals that Aidan does not want Wyatt to take Adderall, which makes her feel guilty for bringing some on Cathy’s request. While she apologises to Aidan, he tells her to leave it for the night and that it’s OK.

While playing the card game Apples to Apples, Wyatt grows annoyed when he keeps losing, believing the rest of the group are deliberately playing against him. He storms off and tries to play his video game, prompting Aidan to try and stop him. It soon grows into a full-blown fight, with Cathy noting he has been diagnosed with ADHD and needs medication, but Aidan refusing, saying that Wyatt already has substance abuse issues. As the argument gets worse, Wyatt smashes two windows before storming off, shaking up Carrie.

That evening, Carrie says she now truly understands why he needs to remain in Virginia with his family with her but gives him a key to their home for him to use whenever he can be there.

When she goes to buy the table she fought with Aidan over, she discovers it was sold.

Miranda

Miranda is excited when Joy offers her the chance to appear on the BBC again. Ahead of the appearance, she asks Joy out for dinner, but she’s busy having dinner with friends. Instead, she offers to join her afterwards at Carrie’s, which Joy agrees.

However, once Miranda is on screen, she panics and loses her breath, accidentally breaking “wild countryside” into something that sounds explicit, turning her into a meme. Her son Brady calls and declares she’s famous but reassures her the internet will be over her soon.

When Joy cancels on their plans, Carrie encourages Miranda to invite all of Joy’s friends over for the evening instead. The friends immediately recognise her for the meme, and rib her for it, but it leaves Miranda worried.

While her guests seem to have a good evening, Joy is noticeably quiet, and Miranda proves to be desperate to impress. When they all leave, Miranda asks Joy why she was so withdrawn, believing it to be about the meme. She admits her feelings to Joy, and Joy admits she withdrew because she was worried, and the pair kiss.

Charlotte

At home, Charlotte’s father-in-law Morris is visiting, which is worrying Harry. He makes himself at home, quickly getting to know one of the neighbours, Marilyn, and inviting her to dinner.

Holding dinner with the family, Anthony and Giuseppe, as well as Lily’s new boyfriend Diego. When Morris makes comments about ballet dancers having boyfriends “in his day”, Diego reveals he is polysexual and also has a boyfriend, which throws off Charlotte and Harry.

That night, Charlotte and Harry try to have sex, but he struggles to perform. He fears it’s a sign of his old age. She tries to reassure him, saying she will always love him, even if they can’t have sex anymore.

Roq later reveals her attempts to clean up her grandfather’s iPad revealed reams of pornography, and he had gone up to spend the night with Marilyn.

Lisa

At work, Lisa is looking for new editors and is introduced to Marion Odin – who she confuses for a female but is actually an attractive young man. However, while she was hesitant, he impresses her quickly, knowing about her past work.

She asks for the day to think about it, but that night has a stress dream, talking in her sleep to the point that Herbert needs to use the guest room.

Apologising for what happened, Lisa desperately wants her husband back in bed with her and convinces him to come back – but then forces herself to stay awake so she doesn’t disturb him.

Seema

After taking over the company, Ryan Serhant requests a meeting with Seema, trying to win her over to work for him. When she says no, he tells her she has a week to leave her office. She sees this as a challenge.

Seema starts trying to poach some of the team, but due to the start-up business she can’t compete with Serhant’s money.
