Based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger, The Time Traveler’s Wife follows the two lead characters as they meet again and again through multiple timelines and ages, falling in love and fighting to be together.
Henry suffers from a rare genetic disorder that sends him through time without control. In the series, their story is recounted through videotaped interviews with an unknown figure.
But with elements of the future affecting each of their presents, Henry and Clare’s relationship is far from easy, and could be destined to end in tragedy. The question is: is their love worth it?

The Time Traveler’s Wife is made up of six episodes and is told through flashbacks as the pair recount their story through a series of recorded video interviews with an unknown person.
Episode 1
At a clearing near her home, six-year-old Clare Abshire’s life changes forever when she encounters a man, Henry DeTamble, for the first time. As a time traveller, Henry has no control where he goes or how long he is away from his linear timeline.
At age 28, Henry encounters a young student named Clare for the first time – who seems to know him extremely well, and later at dinner reveals she’s his future wife. But clues of the future leaves Henry worried about what lies ahead.
Episode 2
Henry’s troubled past is revealed as he continues to return to one of the most devastating moments of his life, as the younger and older version of himself meet.
Henry tries to make things right with Clare in the present-day timeline, leading her to seek advice from an unexpected source.
Episode 3
As their relationship develops in the present-day timeline, Clare admits her frustration at the ever-disappearing Henry, though is aware he cannot control it.
Past Clare struggles with knowing something that could happen in Henry’s future, as Henry grapples with the idea of being aware of what fate holds for him.
Teenage Clare finds herself reaching out to Henry in a desperate time of need after a party she attends results in a horrific moment of her life.

Episode 4
Present day Clare prepares a dinner party for Henry and pals Gomez and Charisse but gets an unexpected guest in the shape of another Henry from the future, and also Ingrid – Henry’s girlfriend in the current timeline.
Past Clare makes an indecent proposal to Henry as her feelings for him continue to grow, and aware the time between his visits will grow too.
Episode 5
Clare continues to struggle to balance the present-day version of Henry with the man he knows he will become.
Henry tries to bond with Gomez, knowing he has feelings for Clare but will one day become an important friend in his life.
As Clare introduces Henry to his family, his genetic condition causes trouble in seeking their approval – but she has an answer for a question he asked a long time ago.
Episode 6
It’s Clare and Henry’s wedding day, but the nerves of the day cause Henry’s time-travelling to go haywire, leaving him struggling to be ready for the big event.
Among his travels are trips to the future, where he sees a heartbroken Clare clutching an ornate box containing something she deeply desires.
As Henry recruits Gomez to help him get to the church on time, a past version of Henry visits his future and makes a big decision with Clare about what lies ahead.
