What happens in episode six, ‘Gold Summit’?
WARNING: Major spoilers for episode six ahead.
Oz is leading the trade with Bliss with more suppliers than ever, and Victor is growing in confidence as Oz’s protegé, despite fears he’s being followed by someone connected to either Sofia or the Maronis.
However, the operation is running into issues with the electricity, with City Hall beginning to ration it in the poorer neighbourhoods in favour of the richer ones.
Sofia has started a sado-masochistic sexual relationship with Dr Julian Rush, and has moved fugitive Sal Maroni into the family mansion to conduct their plan. While they’re unsure where Oz is, they believe he won’t stay hidden for long, and decide to make it clear to the gangs that working with Oz comes at a cost.
At Francis’s, the electric has been cut off, and Victor tries to placate her by saying Oz’s brother Jack was paying the bill – but that only serves to anger Oz. He then receives a phone call from the Triads pulling out of the Bliss deal, after three men killed and on the local news to send a message.
In his riskiest move yet, Oz decides to give Bliss away in order to create demand. In Crown Point, Victor runs into an old friend, Squid, who questions him on how he’s got money now, asking to join the team on whatever it is.
Sal and Sofia break into Oz’s apartment to try and find his weak spot. Still unaware his mother’s alive, Sofia gets an idea after seeing a polaroid of Eve.
Oz finds Francis in a freezing cold bathtub, with her having fallen and stayed in it all night. She admits her mind is beginning to go to the point she’s seeing things, and she doesn’t want to go out knowing nothing. She asks Oz to help her die before that happens. He initially refuses, but she talks him around. Sal receives a visit from Sofia, and calls for an alliance between them, ending the war between their families in order for a bigger purpose – taking down Oz.

Sofia hits the streets to try and find a way to get to Eve, and finds a girl willing to help.
Oz goes to visit a councilman he believes owes him one. Holding his septum with a pair of pliers, he demands the poor areas get their electricity back or he’ll reveal his corruption.
Victor tries to pay off his old friend, but he pushes back, demanding to meet Oz and getting aggressive. Pretending to relent, Victor then shoots the guy in the throat, killing him. Knowing he’s crossed a new line, the teen breaks down in tears.
When Sofia gets to Eve’s apartment, the pair talk about Oz and their separate histories with him. Sofia reveals the truth about her father being The Hangman, and how Oz has hidden it from her for over a decade, angering Eve.
Eve is happy to hand herself over to Sofia, but only asks she not go after her girls. This act of loyalty strikes a nerve with Sofia, and she decides not to kill her. Eve returns the kindness by handing over a location in Crown Point.
At the production plant, Victor meets with Oz, who realises what he’s done and tries to reassure him, telling him it gets easier.
Meeting with a collection of gang leaders, Oz tries to rally them all into forming a coalition that can rise above the ranks of the government officials and crime families who have ruled them for so long.
At Ma’s house, the power finally comes back on, and the pair begin to dance – but Sofia has arrived, brandishing a tire iron.
