Granville encourages Gastric to enter an art competition, and faces the challenge of selling a box full of mysterious tins, despite not knowing what they contain.

Granville tries to stop Madge from moving away and taking Mavis with her - but there is only one person who can change their minds, and he has been dead for years.

Granville and Gastric come up with a romantic plan to persuade Madge and Mavis to stay. However, it involves spending a little more money than the shopkeeper is comfortable with.
