`Cardinal' is based on the novels of crime writer Giles Blunt and focuses on detective John Cardinal and his partner, Lise Delorme. They investigate crimes in the city of Algonquin Bay. Cardinal works to right past wrongs that could threaten his investigations and his career. The clock is always ticking and Cardinal has to race against the sands of time to save the killers' next victims.

Episode 1Sam

While struggling to accept that Catherine took her own life, Cardinal starts to receive anonymous notes. Meanwhile, the detectives investigate a murder case where the bodies are missing.

Episode 2Roman & Irena

The detectives try to identify the murder victims, unaware that there is a witness being stalked by the killer. Cardinal looks into the anonymous notes he's been receiving.

Episode 3Jack

An unexpected ally emerges in the search for the killer, while Cardinal confronts a man he believes may be connected with Catherine's suicide.

Episode 4Lemur

Cardinal and Delorme make a breakthrough in the case as a surprising turn of events provides new evidence - and a possible motive behind the murders.

Episode 5Mama

Delorme goes to Toronto on Cardinal's behalf to look into the validity of his theories about his wife's death. Meanwhile, the fugitives get ever closer to their ultimate goal.

Episode 6Helen

The police close in on Sharlene 'Mama' Winston and her accomplices, while Cardinal gets closer to establishing the truth about his wife's death.
