Following the powerful Peaky Blinders gang and their exploits in Birmingham in the 1920s. Beginning in 1919 in the aftermath of the Great War, the series follows the gang as they fight for survival through years of social and economic upheaval, including the general strike of 1926 and the Wall Street Crash. The gang is led by the ambitious Thomas Shelby, a returning war hero who has bigger ambitions than just running the streets. Determined to improve the social standing of his family, Tommy attempts to expand the reach of the gang.
