What happens in And Just Like That..., Season 3 Episode 11, ‘Forgot About The Boy’?

Warning: Major spoilers ahead

Carrie

Carrie heads back to her old neighbourhood to pre-order Thanksgiving pies from the bakery – and finds herself getting in trouble with the new locals, who’ve been told the store doesn’t accept pre-orders. Carrie’s an exception though as a longtime customer.

She then runs into Lisette as she comes out of her old apartment, who invites her to another event the Monday before Thanksgiving, which she happily accepts.

Carrie later has a meeting with her publisher, who has a problem with the ending of her novel. She sees it as a tragedy as the woman ends up alone in her garden, but Carrie doesn’t see it that way. She tells her to add an epilogue that gives people hope.

At drinks with Seema, Carrie gets upset when Seema tells her that Duncan has not renewed his lease on his apartment below her house, and the owners are offering it to her before putting it on the market. She admits she’s not sure if it’s because it means Duncan’s not coming back, or if it’s a sign she should sell, considering the house was something that came with a plan to live there with Aidan and that didn’t work out.

That evening, she returns to the apartment for Lisette’s get together, thinking she would miss it, to find the apartment is not like how she remembers. For starters, there’s a wall splitting the place in two, and also the place has been completely redecorated, making it almost unrecognisable (save for the closet – which is still fabulous).

Over drinks, Lisette asks Carrie how she feels about living alone, because she’s discovered she struggles with it. Carrie says the worst case scenario has already happened to her.

As she returns home, Carrie begins writing the epilogue to her novel.

Miranda

Miranda is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year – with Brady cooking his first turkey. What she doesn’t tell him is that his baby mama has been invited.

However, Mia tells Brady that she’s coming, and he freaks out, angry that his mum has stuck herself in a situation that’s not hers. Miranda tells him that he can’t ignore the baby forever and he needs to accept that, refusing to rescind the invitation.

Charlotte and Harry

While setting the dinner table, Charlotte and Harry talk that after his prostate surgery, he’s still struggling to ‘rise to the occasion’.

He also admits he doesn’t want to go to Thanksgiving at Miranda’s that year. She begrudgingly says she’ll try and get them out of it.

Rock then asks Charlotte to zip them up into a dress for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Charlotte is slightly taken aback after seeing her daughter in a dress and make-up, clearly adoring it. She later shares her feelings with Carrie and Miranda, admitting it gave her a glimpse into life if her daughter wasn’t non-binary.

The next day, when Charlotte and Harry are in bed, she tells him that she couldn’t disappoint Miranda by telling her he won’t attend, and he admits he visualised Thanksgiving with just his family while he was going through chemotherapy.

She later looks at a picture of Rock in her costume, visibly upset.

Seema

Seema and Adam are still going strong, with Adam inviting her to meet his sister on Thanksgiving (although they don’t eat turkey and he doesn’t believe in it).

They then declare they love each other for the first time.

Lisa

Lisa is still nursing Herbert’s bruised ego after losing the election – which isn’t helped by all the parents and teachers who donated to his campaign talking to him about it at the school play.

The next day, Lisa tries to encourage him, but he’s too depressed, staying out the house.

Anthony

While shopping for suits, Giuseppe proposes to Anthony – and he happily accepts.

However, at Rock’s school show, he admits to Carrie he’s having second thoughts, worried that they’re going too fast and he’s looking after him too much after they moved in together.

But when the headmaster is introduced to Giuseppe, and makes it clear that he’s interested, Anthony gets notably jealous.
