
Everything you need to know about A League of Their Own Road Trip: Mexico
A League of Their Own is heading to Mexico for their next epic adventure. As ever, it’s Red vs Blue –with the teams competing in a series of sporting and cultural challenges in a bid to avoid the series forfeit.
To raise the stakes, for the first time ever it won’t just be the team captains in the firing line for the forfeit.
In previous series, viewers have seen the gang dance as cheerleaders in front of 90,000 LA Rams fans, taken driving lessons from Max Verstappen at the Singapore Grand Prix, had a tennis match umpired by Novak Djokovic at the Monte-Carlo Masters and joined the cast of Aladdin on Broadway.
This Road Trip promises to be even more exciting as the teams travel from Mexico City to Baja California – seeing all incredible Mexico has to offer.
Among the adventures is taking part in the infamous Day of the Dead Parade, learning the art of Mexican Rodeo, scuba diving with sea lions in choppy waters, and wrestling each other in a Lucha Libre match.
Anything for some points for the team, right?
Who will be going on A League of Their Own: Mexican Road Trip?
Joining this series adventures of A League of their Own Road Trip will be:
Red Team:
- Captain Jamie Redknapp: Former footballer, who spent 11 years at Liverpool FC and gained 17 England caps during his career. He was a member of the Euro 1996 England squad and is now a celebrated pundit on Sky Sports.
- Mo Gilligan: Stand-up comedian and TV host best known for The BRIT Awards and The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan. Will lend his voice to the upcoming Sky Original movie, 10 Lives, starring alongside Bridgerton star Simone Ashley.
Blue Team:
- Captain Jill Scott: England ‘Lioness’ squad member who made 161 appearances for her country – the second most-capped player of all time. Her last appearance for the team saw the Lionesses storm to victory in the 2022 EUFA Women’s Euros. Also winner of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2022.
- Micah Richards: former pro right-back footballer for teams including Manchester City and Aston Villa, now a household name Sky Sports pundit. Has achieved 13 caps for England and, on his debut in. 2006, the youngest defender to ever be called to be on the country squad.
Bonus:
- Maisie Adam: Stand-up comedian who will be making a special appearance as a ‘super substitute’.
How many episodes will there be?
This series of A League of Their Own Road Trip will consist of four carnage-filled episodes with two ‘Unseen Bits’.
This will be the eighth series of the spin-off show, totalling 31 main episodes.
Currently there are 14 ‘Unseen Bits’ specials providing further footage of each adventures – two for every series.

A League of Their Own Road Trip
James Corden flew Jamie Redknapp, Jack Whitehall and Freddie Flintoff to America for a three-week full of challenges. Given a stateside spin, the team started in LA and ended up in Vegas, where the loser had to strip live on stage with the world-famous Chippendales.
A League of Their Own US Road Trip
Jamie, Jack and Freddie went back to the States for new challenges set by James Corden. Travelling from LA to New York, the boys were handed twelve epic task that included going hunting in the Florida Everglades, embarrassing themselves in a Broadway production of Aladdin and shaking their pom poms as cheerleaders.
Loser had to perform live on stage in New York’s number one drag club.
A League of Their Own European Road Trip
Freddie and Jamie hit the road for a series of James Corden-set sporting challenges. Among the challenges, the team had to abseil down Rotterdam's Euromast tower, go wheel to wheel in a Holland Cup cycle race, double up with celebs for tennis at the Monte Carlo Masters, play darts with Anthony Joshua, hit Paris's Formula E circuit and shoot pens at the San Siro.
Loser had to recreate the opening of GoldenEye by bungee jumping from the Contra Dam in Switzerland.
A League of Their Own European Road Trip 2
Freddie and Jamie battled once again on the second European Road Trip for the team. This time they were joined by A League of Their Own regular Romesh Ranganathan, Alan Carr, Lee Mack, Tom Davis and Olympic Gold medallist, Sam Quek. Among the challenges was cliff-diving in Ibiza, taking part in the Tomatina Festival in Bunol and humans tower building in Catalonia.
A League of Their Own Road Trip: Loch Ness to London
While coronavirus travel restrictions prevented the lads having their usual jolly abroad, A League of Their Own Road Trip set out to prove they can have just as big a laugh with a good old British staycation. Jamie Redknapp, Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall and Romesh Ranganathan started Urqhart Castle at Loch Ness and make their way to London.
A League of Their Own Road Trip: From Dingle to Dover
From Dingle in Ireland to the white cliffs of Dover, Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp led this madcap road trip, with celebrity guests joining them for a series of challenges. The ultimate forfeit? Dangling terrifyingly from a helicopter on a bungee rope.
A League of Their Own Road Trip: South East Asia
After two years grounded in the British Isles, Jamie, Micah, and Romesh went on a sporting odyssey across Southeast Asia. Along the way, guest stars including Mo Gilligan, Alan Carr, Big Zuu, Patrice Evra, Maisie Adam, Joel Dommett and Emily Atack joined them for their latest string of adventures.
