Sky social tariffs

Our social tariff offers could be for you if you’re struggling to pay your Sky Broadband or Sky Mobile bills but want to stay connected.

Are you eligible?

To qualify for our social tariff offers, you (the Sky account holder) need to be claiming one of these benefits:

  • Universal Credit (UC)
  • Pension Credit (PC)
  • Income-based Employment Support Allowance (I-ESA)
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (I-JSA)
  • Income Support (IS)

You need to be named on the monthly statement for the benefit - another member of the household can’t qualify for you. We’ll be validating this with the Department of Work and Pensions to make sure you’re eligible.

Our Sky Broadband Basics offer is only available if you already have Sky Broadband with us. To also add our Sky Mobile offer, you’ll need be taking Sky Broadband Basics, and:

  • Already have Sky Mobile and a 4GB data plan.
  • Or you can add a new 4GB data plan with Sky Mobile.

What's included

Sky Broadband Basics costs £20 a month for 18 months. It includes:

  • Sky Broadband Superfast 35 with an average download speed of 36Mb/s.

    • Or if fibre isn’t available where you live, Sky Broadband Essential Plus with average download speeds of 11Mb/s.
  • Sky Pay As You Talk. Only pay for the calls that you make.

It comes with a new 18-month contract, but if you need to leave us before it ends, we won’t charge you any early termination fees on your Sky Broadband.

After 18-months the price will go back to the standard rate – we’ll tell you what this will be when you get in touch to take Sky Broadband Basics. You’ll also get an email to let you know when the price is coming to an end, and you can get in touch to talk about the options available.

Add a free 4GB data plan with Sky Mobile for 12 months if you’re taking Sky Broadband Basics – it’s not available on its own. It includes:

  • Unlimited Calls and Texts (UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
  • A 5G add on
  • Sky Piggybank - We’ll roll any unused data for you to use whenever you like

Good to know: You won’t be able to change your mobile plan (Mix) within the 12 months. If you do, you’ll lose the offer and pay the price of the data plan you choose to change to.

It comes with a new 12-month contract, but if you need to leave us before it ends, we won’t charge you any early termination fees for this data plan.

After 12-months the price will go back to the standard rate – we’ll tell you what this will be when you get in touch to add the Sky Mobile social tariff. You’ll also get an email to let you know when the price is coming to an end, and you can get in touch to talk about the options available.
