No power to the Sky Q box

If your Sky Q box won't turn on and there are no lights on the front of your box, try these troubleshooting steps.

Check for power

If there's no standby light on the Sky Q box:

  1. Switch off and unplug your Sky Q box at the mains socket.
  2. Unplug the power lead from the back of the Sky Q box. If you're using a surge protector or extension lead, try a direct connection between your Sky Q box and the mains.
  3. Leave the power lead unplugged. Check the lead for physical damage. If there is, leave it unplugged and contact us.
  4. If there's no sign of damage, try plugging your TV or another device into the mains to see if the socket works.

If another device works, you'll need to replace your Sky Q box.
