How to cancel your Sky Broadband

To cancel your Sky Broadband, you need to give us 14 days’ notice, unless you’re within your cooling off period.

Please don’t cancel your Direct Debit or any other ongoing payment with us, as further payments might still be due.

What is the cooling off period?

We offer UK customers an enhanced cooling off period of 31 days, instead of the 14 days that's legally required. (For ROI customers the cooling off period is 14 days).

That means UK customers have the right to cancel their order for Sky Broadband and Managed Installation (or just your Managed Installation), without giving any reason, any time up to 31 days from the later of: (i) delivery of your Wireless Router; (ii) activation; or (iii) receipt of the relevant terms and conditions for that product/service.

Switching to a new broadband provider

Rather than cancelling your services with us completely to switch to your new provider, you can normally place your order without contacting us.

If you’re switching to Virgin Media’s cable, BT Ultrafast Fibre, Fibre to the Premises from another provider though, or exercising a right to leave that we’ve told you about, you'll need to get in touch with us by selecting the Yes, I still need help button at the bottom of the page.

If you know your activation date, we can arrange for your Sky services to be cancelled as close to that date as possible, subject to any required notice period. Our Change the start and end dates of your Sky services article has more info.
