The White Lotus just wouldn’t be what it is without the colourful characters that descend upon the resort’s perfectly polished marble hallways.
Snobbish, rich, white and privileged, these entitled one-per-centers have no idea how lucky they have it – and somehow always find a way to want more out of life, even when they’re sunbathing in paradise.
So to see their life unfold in myriad ways is always going to make deliciously juicy television.
As The White Lotus is an anthology series, we are introduced to a new cast of people every season – with two notable exceptions. If you’re wanting a breakdown, here are the key cast you need to know as you go into each season.

Season One: Hawaii
Hotel Manager
Armond
Played By: Murray Bartlett (The Last of Us, Welcome To Chippendales)
Armond is wound tighter than a corkscrew, and wants to make sure everything at The White Lotus is perfect at all times. It’s just a shame he also hates dealing with the guests’ never-ending list of innocuous demands. A recovering addict, he’s on the edge of tipping over at any given point.
Hotel Staff
Belinda Lindsey
Played By: Natasha Rothwell (Wonka, Insecure)
As the hotel’s spa manager, Belinda is incredible at her job. Taking things at a cool and calm pace as best she can, she is naturally empathetic to those around her, and goes beyond the call of duty. But she has big aspirations, and dreams for more than where she is in life.
Dillon
Played By: Lukas Gage (Road House, You)
The hotel jobsbody, Dillon is tasked with the menial jobs around the hotel, and often runs errands and tasks for Armond. Discreet and hardworking, he’ll do pretty much anything for better hours.
Kai
Played By: Kekoa Scott Kekumano (Hawaii 5-0, Press Play)
A waiter at The White Lotus’s restaurant, Kai isn’t afraid to mix business with pleasure, particularly with the younger guests at the hotel.
Lani
Played By: Jolene Purdy (Orange Is the New Black, Firefly Lane)
Newcomer Lani is a trainee at the hotel. Wanting to prove herself, she’s willing to do anything to impress Armond, even if that means hiding the fact that she’s about to give birth at literally any minute.

Hotel Guests
Tanya McQuoid
Played By: Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie, The Watcher)
A rich and entitled heiress, Tanya lives in her own bubble – and is extremely lonely because of it. Arriving at The White Lotus in order to spread his mother’s ashes, Tanya soon tries to make friends with the other guests - which isn’t always welcome.
Nicole Mossbacher
Played By: Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story)
A high-earning CFO of a search engine, Nicole has been named one of the ‘top 10 businesswomen changing the game’ - according to an article written by Rachel Patton. Despite providing everything for her family, she finds herself buckling under the pressure of her unthankful kids and husband.
Mark Mossbacher
Played By: Steve Zahn (The Righteous Gemstones, George and Tammy)
Mark is a hypochondriac and, while he loves his wife and family, feels emasculated in the role he has within the family. He craves validation as a father and a husband, but doesn’t know how to get it. He hopes to bond more with his son on the trip, but finds out something about his late father that sends him into a tailspin.
Quinn Mossbacher
Played By: Fred Hechinger (Pam and Tommy, The Pale Blue Eye)
Tech-obsessed teen Quinn would much rather spend time on his phone and video games than be with his family on holiday. However, he gets more out of the trip than he expects when his father tries to bond with him, and he starts exploring what the island has to offer.
Olivia Mossbacher
Played By: Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Madame Web)
The self-absorbed and bossy daughter of Nicole and Mark, Olivia is used to getting what she wants, even bringing her friend on the trip, and kicking her brother out of their shared living space. Privileged and spoiled, Olivia has a sensitive side, but can’t help but hide behind it behind a snide bitchiness.
Paula
Played By: Brittany O’Grady (The Consultant, Star)
Paula is a last-minute tagalong to the Mossbacher’s family trip - and while she enjoys the luxury she’s been gifted, can’t help but also put it down at any given opportunity. Thankfully there are some good-looking waiters to keep her mind occupied.
Shane Patton
Played By: Jake Lacy (A Friend Of The Family, Apples Never Fall)
The ultimate Spoiled Little Rich Boy, Shane wants what he wants, when he wants it, regardless of what everyone around him feels about it. He thinks he’s entitled for the world to spin around him, and when he doesn’t, he gets spiteful and refuses to let it go… then calls his mother to sort it out for him.
Rachel Patton
Played By: Alexandra Daddario (Why Women Kill, The Girlfriend Experience)
A struggling journalist with no real game plan, Rachel should be in the newlywed bubble on her honeymoon with Shane. Instead, she’s having an existential crisis as she begins to discover what her husband is really like, and the life she’s bought into.
Kitty Patton
Played By: Molly Shannon (I Love That For You, The Other Two)
The overbearing, over-present mother of Shane, Kitty will do anything to make sure her little boy is happy – even gatecrashing his honeymoon to get answers.
Greg Hunt
Played By: Jon Gries (Get Shorty, Napoleon Dynamite)
Arriving at the hotel, Greg soon takes an interest in Tanya and asks her out to dinner. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, he seems intent to make the most out of life.
