Who is Paddy Considine?
Paddy Considine, born September 1973, is a British actor from Staffordshire.
At the age of 17, he enrolled for a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Burton College, where he met screenwriter and director Shane Meadows – now most notably known for gritty drama, This Is England.
Meadows would later cast Considine in a string of his early projects, including A Room for Romeo Brass. This would lead to Considine being cast in films including 24 Hour Party People and In America.
In 2004, Considine wrote and starred in Dead Man’s Shoes, which earned him a Best British Actor award at the 2005 Empire Awards.
In the years that followed, Considine became known as one of Britain’s biggest UK talents, appearing in Edgar Wright’s cult favourites Hot Fuzz and The World’s End alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, through to blockbuster The Bourne Ultimatum alongside Matt Damon.
He has been with his wife, Shelley, since they were both 18 years old. They married in 2002 and together they have three children.
