Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom

Halloween descends into chaos in this brand new Sky Original family adventure! Coming this September in cinemas, Sky Cinema and NOW.

What is Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom about?

Shaun The Sheep is back and ready for a brand new action-packed adventure that is sure to be fun for all the family.

Our beloved woolly pal, who first made an appearance in Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave 30 years ago, is on a mission to save Halloween when disaster strikes at Mossy Bottom Farm and their pumpkin patch is ruined.

With a beast on the loose in Mossingham woods, Shaun goes into Mad Scientist mode in his mission to fix the problem. Naturally, this soon means his sheep pals are running for cover as he sets up booby traps, chainsaws and other bizarre traps to catch the culprit.

Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is Shaun’s third full-length film, and promises all chaos, joy and a lot of laughs along the way.

The film is written by Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Paddington in Peru) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories, Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and will be directed by Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies).

The upcoming release continues Sky’s decade-long relationship with Aardman Studios, with Morph becoming the first Sky Kids Original commission in 2016.

The partnership has since produced Make Your Own Movies with Merlin and Epic Adventures of Morph and will soon see Season 3 of the BAFTA nominated hit pre-school show, The Very Small Creatures.

Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom forms part of a bold line-up of Sky Originals and Exclusives coming to Sky and NOW screens in 2026 and beyond. From gripping dramas and films to big entertainment and compelling documentaries, Sky continues to champion distinctive storytelling alongside world-class talent - delivering the must-watch moments set to define the year ahead.
