`Endeavour', a prequel to the long-running and beloved ITV series `Inspector Morse', follows the newly forged relationship - both working and personal - between young DS Endeavour Morse, played by Shaun Evans, and his senior partner, DCI Fred Thursday, played by Roger Allam. Together they work for the Oxford City Police solving a variety of intriguing crimes and mysteries during the turbulent and rapidly evolving social mores of the 1960s. Sean Rigby takes on the role of DS Jim Strange.
