Twelve amateur bakers compete against each other to win the title of Greatest British Baker in the successful series `The Great British Bake Off'. Each round sees an aspiring baker eliminated, until finally the winner gets selected from the remaining contestants. Their skills on all the baking essentials like cakes, breads, pastries and desserts are tested in each round, and the difficulty increases as the competition unfolds. The judges are set to taste all the goods created carefully by the contestants, and the audience is able to follow all the trials and tribulations with a wholesome twist.

Episode 1Cakes

Ten passionate home bakers take part in a bake-off to test every aspect of their baking skills as they battle to be crowned the Great British Bake Off's best amateur baker. S1, Ep1

Episode 2Biscuits

The eight home bakers who made it through the first round are taken to Scone Palace near Perth in Scotland to make biscuits and teatime treats. Two more bakers will be eliminated. S1, Ep2

Episode 3Bread

The six remaining bakers are challenged to make bread. Which of them will best cope with the pressure and who will be the one who has to leave the Bake Off? S1, Ep3

Episode 4Puddings

The remaining bakers must reinvent an often-neglected British classic - the pudding. Judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry tests the contestants ability to cope with pressure. S1, Ep4

Episode 5Pastry

The remaining bakers make their own versions of hearty British pies. Then judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will decide who will be the final three to go through to the final. S1, Ep5

Episode 6Tea Party

It is the Grand Final and the three surviving contestants must bake for the afternoon tea party. Who will be crowned the Great British Bake Off's Best Amateur Baker? S1, Ep6
