This comedy drama about a British bomb disposal detachment details the camaraderie and bonds shared between the soldiers in the unit as they risk their lives defusing bombs. Among the soldiers in the unit are Captain Nick Medhurst, the wisecracking leader of the team; Nick's eager second in command, Corporal Christian "Millsy" Mills; Corporal Lynda Bird, who just wants to be one of the guys; and Lance Corporal Simon Lansley whose one job is to protect Nick but has bigger ambitions - to become an officer.
