In the heart of the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, residents of a farm and the nearby village deal with all the drama, joys, and heartbreaks that life throws at them.
Jo wakes up bruised and Andy blames it on her drunken state the night before. Viv tells Bob she kissed Freddie, and Terry regrets letting the factory move its operations.
Nicola claims full credit for Rodney's book when she receives a call from a publisher. Bob opens up to Diane, and Terry decides he can't cope with the factory workers any more.
Louise returns from holiday and throws the factory workers out of the B and B as Bob confronts her about blackmailing Viv. Katie asks Perdy to look after the baby when it is born.
Jonny is shocked when Katie tells him of her plot to cut Gray out of the baby's life. Pollard has a visit from a health and safety officer, and Louise attempts to apologise to Viv.
Katie plans to have her baby in London and put it up for adoption, having conned money out of Grayson to do so. Gennie realises Chas fancies the hot new vet Josh.
Jonny and Paul argue about the situation between Katie, Gray and Perdy. Chas warns Gennie about turning into a layabout, and Sam offers to help Jo out on the farm for free.
Brenda catches Gennie in the hot tub with Eli and accuses the Dingles of corrupting her daughter. Diane comforts Gray, and Paul begs Jonny not to give up on their relationship.
Gennie mans the phones at the vets but her good intentions with an injured animal lead to her being arrested for theft. Sam comforts Jo when a sheep she has injured dies.
Lisa worries about Sam's feelings for Jo and tries to warn him off. Lexi asks Jimmy to help her get back with Carl, and David searches Rodney's house for his manuscript.
Carl suggests Anna take one of the trucks out, but she runs out petrol. Matthew pulls up in his car and relishes finding out who Anna is.
