All across Britain a small but dedicated group of specialists and aviation enthusiasts are working to maintain a shrinking fleet of historic warplanes. The teams must fight against the inevitable march of time to stop the planes rusting away into history. Each episode will cover a team using their skill and ingenuity to get a different plane flying. Diving into the history of each plane and shedding light on the brave pilots who flew them during critical points in history. The episodes culminate with the planes taking their first flights in recent history.
