With the Frank family safe and secure, Miep's Jewish dentist asks for help hiding - can she find new ways to evade the Nazis?

When two small children are left in Miep and Jan's care, it strengthens Jan's ties to the resistance and brings up Miep's issues with her past abandonment.

Miep must choose between her morals and her best friend, and discovers her husband Jan is deliberately lying to her - but is he doing it out of love?

Miep and Jan's marriage is tested when he ignores her plea to abandon a dangerous mission. After the Nazis suffer a huge blow at the hands of The Resistance, Jan goes into hiding.

With Amsterdam almost empty of Jews, Miep and Jan do what they can to save the last remaining ones. Meanwhile, news of the Normandy landings arrives.
