Gangs of London: Season 2 Locations Hero Image

Gangs of London may centre around the warring factions within the capital, but there’s no mistaking that the city itself is its own character in this hyper violent world.

Whether it's a case of finding small corners for shady dealings or hustling in skyscrapers as part of a legitimate business deal, these characters use every part of the city to their advantage: a giant chess board on which they play.

In most cases, these dynamic locations are real, albeit used for far less nefarious reasons.

So, if you want a mini tour around the city, Gangs of London style, you’ve come to the right place.

Here’s where some of the key scenes of season two were filmed.

Season 2 Locations and Where to Find Them

Tottenham Stadium

Location: High Road, London

A location made for the Algerian gang’s nightmares, Koba introduces himself as they deal with an army’s worth of illegal guns for distribution. Koba asserts himself as a dominant force by making Faz eat bullets, before shooting his workmate to send a message. This scene was actually shot in the underground car park of Tottenham Stadium.

Golborne Road

Location: Kensal Town, Kensington

In episode one, we’re introduced to Saba and Faz, who are living above a café in Golborne Road. While Saba mans the café, Faz gets around to... disposing of those bullets he was forced to swallow by Koba.

The area is known for its eclectic restaurants, antique shops and marketplaces, with a strong position within the Moroccan and Portuguese community.

The Shard

Location: London Bridge

The Shard is one of London’s most notable landmarks, shooting into the skyline like a literal blade of glass, overlooking the River Thames.

Completed in 2012, The Shard is one of London’s newer landmarks, with 75 storeys filled with offices, restaurants and a hotel.

In the world of Gangs of London, it’s also where the Dumani Corporation is based.

Senate House

Location: Malet Street

Gangs of London takes a lot of inspiration for its ultra-violent version of London from Batman’s Gotham City – so much so, even one or two locations are the same.

Senate House, an art-deco building in Bloomsbury used by the University of London, was used in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, as well as scenes during season two of Gangs of London.

Billingsgate Fish Market

Location: Trafalgar Way, London

Billingsgate Fish Market became a go-to location for Gangs of London tourists, with Billy, Elliot and Saba all involved in a bloody shoot-out there during season two.

As Billy tries to get the jump on Elliot, the trio end up getting chased through the market by Koba’s henchmen, with Billy later crashing into the Thames as he makes his attempt at a getaway.

Gallions Point Marina

Location: Woolwich

Gallions Point Marina is located within the Gallions Reach stretch of the River Thames – named after the family who at one point owned multiple properties in the area.

It’s now largely home to historic vessels that date back to World War II, and the scenes in episode two when Sean saves Billy from the brink of death.

In order to film on the site, the team required support boats and safety swimmers to bring the dangerous scenes to life.

Hakkasan

Location: Mayfair, London

Hakkasan is one of Mayfair’s premier restaurants, offering Modern Cantonese cuisine, world-class cocktails, all against a dramatically designed backdrop – so perfect for a Gangs of London fight sequence.

This is where one of Elliot’s final fight scenes takes place this season.
