Gangs of London: Season 2 Guide Hero Image

One year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of series one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn. The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and ex-undercover cop Elliot Carter is now being forced to work for the investors.

To restore order, the investors have aligned behind heroin baron Asif Afridi and together they have installed a new ruling force in London in the form of brutal gang leader - Koba. He and his paramilitary enforcers have stamped a new kind of authority; battlefield atrocities, torture, and family kidnap, all coldly designed to terrorise the other gangs into submission.

Koba’s vision for the criminal landscape is a dictatorship, a world in which old school gangster codes don’t exist and in which he holds a complete monopoly over London’s drug trade.

But this monopoly can’t last forever, and when the Investors send Elliot back into London’s underworld again to investigate a series of gangland assassinations, he’ll find an undercurrent of rebellion.

As we traverse this new landscape with Elliot, he’ll uncover secret agendas and surprising alliances hiding in plain sight. Marian Wallace and her supporters may be in exile, but there is a growing swell of support for the old ways.

But as war looms, will opposition come in the form of the old guard, or from an entirely new faction? Who truly has the power to overthrow the current regime and win the battle for London’s soul?

Series 2 of Gangs of London sees our old favourites and new players fight back against the new order, forcing sworn enemies to work together and family members to betray each other. Full of twists, turns, brutal murders and exhilarating, cinematic action sequences, the series will introduce us to new characters and unexpected leaders will emerge.

Season 2 Episodes Recap

Gangs of London season two is composed of eight episodes, and picks up in the aftermath of the season one finale. It’s been a year since the sudden death of Sean Wallace with the billion-dollar enterprise now being left in new hands.

Here’s what happens next.

Episode 1

With the investors now in control of London’s organised crime empire, Asif Afridi and Ed Dumani are the overarching leaders keeping all the other criminal bosses in line - and aren’t afraid to send a bloody message to ensure they know who’s boss.

After the Algeria mafia purchases an unauthorised shipment of guns, Koba, Asif’s enforcer, is sent to get answers, torturing leader Basem Soudani’s nephew to send a message.

As they hunt for who sold the guns, they find the truth in a familiar face.

Elliot Carter has gone from policeman to hitman for hire for the investors abroad, but is brought back with a new, very familiar, target.

Rather than kill him, Elliot wants to give him a way out from being under the investors’ thumb. All he has to do is accept it.

Finally, the Wallaces' whereabouts and plans begin to become known.

Episode 2

A call to arms brings Billy Wallace back to London - to the frustration of sister, Jacqueline.

Elliott is still reeling from the previous night's events, but needs to keep his head straight as he’s sent on his next task in a bid to save his father.

However, he could be in too deep with who it actually involves, and Billy is also out for blood - particularly Elliott’s.

Ed receives some devastating news, and a familiar face makes a surprise return to the London scene.

Episode 3

Flashing back to a year in time, we see what happened in the aftermath of the series finale, including some serious torture for one of our main characters.

Marian receives a dire warning just in time, as Koba starts putting a new plan into action.

Lale’s dedication to her cause comes under question, while a family reunion isn’t as simple as everyone involved hopes - and has some bloody consequences.

A returning face makes a plea to assume his birthright.

Episode 4

Luan tries to keep his family together, but Koba has other ideas as he continues to use brute force to expand his own team.

Elliot wants to leave London, but the investors’ plans for him put a spanner in the works.

Ed tries to make amends to Shannon and Alex.

Marian makes a less than happy discovery as she searches some accounts, and has to think on her feet about what to do next.

The Wallaces’ gang makes an explosive manoeuvre to outwit the other gangs and resume their roles as the heads of London’s criminal underworld.

Episode 5

The morning after the big raid, Elliot reaches out to his dad, Charlie, for advice on what to do next - but whether he takes it or not is another question.

Asif makes a plan to strike back against the Wallaces, while Sean needs to think of the next step quickly in order to keep the advantage he’s earned.

The investors send a chilling kill demand as Koba licks his wounds before arranging a meeting with a nemesis, who has an offer on the table.

A mission to save a brutally tortured Ed is executed.

Episode 6

Picking up in the immediate aftermath of episode five, Elliott is left with blood on his hands as he descends further to the dark side of the underworld.

However, a tragedy sends him on a path of personal vengeance.

A newly-formed alliance tries to recruit someone else into the fold, but one of them has an extra play that horrifies his new partner-in-crime.

The resulting showdown leaves a bloody mess as one person’s safety hangs in the balance, with a shocking betrayal playing out.

Ed is given a proposal he can’t refuse from Marian as his lust for power takes over.

Episode 7

Lale finds herself in a desperate situation as the Wallaces' strong family bond fractures as each makes their own move to get control of their empire.

Marian makes a plan to cripple her sons’ operation, with Billy being placed in his worst nightmare as he discovers the truth.

The new alliance targets French mobster Bibi Agostini to expand their allegiances, sending them to Paris. But Bibi has some proposals of her own.

As Elliot continues his quest for vengeance, things result in a hail of gunfire.

Marian receives something disturbing in the post.

Episode 8

The fate of one character is revealed after the gruesome discovery in the last episode.

The Wallace family unit completely breaks down as some truths come to light.

Luan is given an ultimatum, while Koba faces the result of a long-standing plan.

Someone new makes a vow to take over the city from underneath those who they’ve worked for, for so long.

As the series winds down to a close, a new order is established within the realms of London.
