What is Gangs of London season one about?
In London, the Wallace family hold court as the leaders of the city’s most powerful crime family – that is, until their leader, Finn Wallace is suddenly killed after 20 years as the head.
With no one able to figure out who committed the crime, it doesn’t take long for rivals and snakes to swoop in and stake their claim on the city, with the whole underworld threatening to be torn apart with the efforts.
With enemies everywhere willing to take over, it’s now up to Finn’s eldest son, Sean, to take his father’s place and re-establish the Wallaces as a force to be reckoned with.
But Sean’s rise to power comes at a cost not just in the UK, but internationally, with dozens of criminal sects all feeling the effects of the new leadership.
And that’s before we get into the fact that an undercover policeman has managed to infiltrate the organisation unnoticed.

Episode 1
Finn Wallace is shot dead by a young Welsh traveller named Darren - who has no idea of what he’s just set into motion. With Sean assuming his father’s role, he quickly gets the ball rolling on a mission for vengeance, much to the hesitance of his advisor Ed Dumani, a long-time associate of his dad. Shutting down all criminal enterprises until the killer is caught, Sean immediately throws himself in the deep end.
As a list of suspects begins to grow, some men are slain in order to keep Finn’s secrets, and Darren’s father Kinney goes to extreme measures in order to ensure his safety.
Undercover policeman Elliot makes headway in gaining favour with the Wallaces.
Episode 2
Flashbacks reveal Sean’s dubious beginnings in the criminal world, as well as the promising future his older brother, Billy, showed to take over from his father.
However, in present day Billy is an outcast from the family business, having come out as gay and become a heroin addict, but is determined to win his position back.
Kurdish gang leader Lale finds a new source of heroin - which could cause issues with the drug cartel out of Pakistan.
Businessmen try to win over Sean into reopening the business practices.
Elliot finds himself connecting with an important person in the business, while Luan reveals a secret Finn had kept from his family to Ed.
Sean discovers the truth about his father’s death, and delivers his retribution.
Episode 3

Luan gets into a dangerous new business with Nigerian crime lord, Mosi.

Alex discovers the grim secret that Finn had been hiding from everyone, while his other secret - Floriana - is seen pregnant and captive in a basement.
Elliot’s handler, Vicky, receives a terrifying threat, while Elliot’s relationship with Shannon gets even deeper.
As suspicion grows around Elliot, Ed tests his loyalty to the family, which could threaten to expose his work as an undercover cop.
Ed and Alex continue to save face by entertaining the investors of Finn Wallace’s legitimate business, where it becomes clear they don’t see Sean as their new boss.
Sean’s life comes under threat with two attempts on his life, leaving many dead and others severely injured.
Episode 5
Told in a flashback in the timeline, Darren is taken to safety by contacts of his father, who make plans to get him out of the country.
In the aftermath of Sean’s actions, Traveller leader Kinney hides out, wounded but alive. But he has to keep his wits about him with Danish mercenaries on his and Darren’s tail.
With plenty of people now trying to track Darren down, Kinney goes on a one-man mission to try and reach him.
But who are the mercenaries actually working for, and what is it that they want?

Sean, his mother Marian, and brother Billy head to a safe house - alongside an injured Tove with whom they can extract information. Each has a different way of winning her over.
Meanwhile, Billy’s addiction withdrawal begins to see him suffer, and with the help of a friend, he gets his fix… leading to a foolish move that could also deliver crucial information.
Soon, the trio invite people over to the safe house, and Alex begins to come round to the idea of being the one in charge.
But soon he and Sean both must deal with a pretty big issue that makes them put their confrontation on the backburner.
