Sky Protect Home Insurance
Sky Protect Home Insurance is brand new from Sky, launched in late 2022.
Sky Protect Home Insurance covers buildings and contents, or contents only. So, you can insure your family home and the things you love. Buildings insurance covers the main structure of the insured home and contents insurance covers household goods and personal items within it. We also provide safe temporary accommodation, should you ever need it due to a claim.
Sky Protect Home Insurance does not currently cover second homes or provide landlords insurance or buildings insurance for tenants.
Can I personalise my cover?
Alongside both buildings and contents insurance, Sky Protect Home Insurance comes with a range of extras you can add to your cover too. So, you can add even more protection to your policy.
Home Emergency Cover
With Home Emergency Cover from Sky Protect you can claim up to £1,000 each time you need emergency assistance. This includes callout fees, labour and any parts and materials needed.
Family Legal Assistance
Legal advice can be expensive. Sky Protect Home Insurance also comes with the option to add Family Legal Assistance. This allows you to claim up to £50,000 of legal costs for issues such as consumer defence, property infringement, tax disputes, social media defamation and more.
Accidental damage for buildings and/or contents
Full accidental damage cover gives you peace of mind for any sudden, unexpected or unintentional damage. Like spilling red wine on your sofa.
Valuable Items, Bicycles and Personal Possessions
