Susan Calman's Grand Days Out

Susan travels to Norfolk Broads, where she tries her hand at quanting, a method used to push boats along shallow waterways; Susan travels to Cromer for their famous crab.

Susan is invited to scale the masts of a schooner at the UK’s last working Georgian port and, on a gloriously sunny day, she’s asked to help tend the country’s only outdoor jungle.

In north Wales, Susan stops off at the must-see tourist spot of the Tu Hwnt Ir Bont Tearoom, said to be the most photographed in Wales and famed for its Welsh rarebit.

Susan visits the part of the Midlands known as Shakespeare Country, where she stops at Warwick Castle to try her hand at archery; she then visits Stratford-upon-Avon.

Susan Calman’s Grand Days Out have brought her across the sea to discover some beautiful parts of Ireland’s coastline. She starts her journey in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Susan travels from Bath to the village of Cheddar, meander through the medieval city of Wells and end her road trip in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare.

Susan is in Kent, known as The Garden of England. The county's lush countryside is filled with orchards, vineyards and charming villages, with an incredible coastline to match.
