Presenters Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell attempt to reunite people with their long-lost family members in this television series. With each individual story, the team search far and wide for answers, which has expanded to countries including Ethiopia, Australia, and America. Some of these people are happily reunited with their loved ones after years of separation. For others, the history that unfolds for them is more tragic, but on these occasions, these people meet some unexpected figures who offer comfort.

Episode 1Long Lost Family

The first episode in the show's 13th series follows Paul Connolly - who seeks someone who shares his paternal DNA - and Shaun Lawrence, who wants to find his entire family.

This episode follows the stories of Sara Hathaway, who lost two precious members of her adoptive family in a single year, and Diane Kerridge, who seeks the son she had to give up.

Episode 3Long Lost Family

We take on the cases of Caroline Kinsey - who longs to find the son she gave up for adoption - and Paul McFarlane, whose assumptions about his family have been thrown into doubt.
