Welcome to Sky Q
Sky is already a valued part of everyday life in over 11 million homes. And you’ve just become one of them.
Here are some essential steps to follow, covering everything you need to know as a new Sky Q customer.
In the first five steps we'll set you up with our services, then there are more steps to check depending which products you've taken with us.
Create a Sky iD
Sky iD lets you sign in to all Sky's online services. It consists of your email address (or username for accounts created before 9 June 2016) and a password.
> Create a Sky iD now – you’ll need your account number, viewing card number or the last 6 digits of the bank account number used to pay for Sky.
Manage your account
You’ll need to sign in with your Sky iD to access some of these articles. Set up a Sky iD, if you haven’t already.
Once you’ve set up your Sky iD, you can manage My Sky.
Some things you might want to do:
> Track your order – see where your kit is and view activation dates.
> Claim a reward – when you purchased your Sky services you would have been told if you're eligible for a reward. Get help claiming a reward.
> My Package – see exactly what you’ve got, add products and see your exclusive offers.
> Change an engineer appointment – if you’ve booked an engineer to install your Sky products, change it here if you need to. (If you miss your appointment, or call to cancel or reschedule on the day or day before your appointment, you may be charged £25 on your next bill.)
Your first three bills may be different from what you expect

Download the My Sky app
You’ll need a compatible device and your Sky iD sign in details. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it in the app by selecting the Forgotten password link, or [online](https://(https://sky.com/signin).
With the My Sky app, you can manage your Sky TV, Broadband, Talk and Mobile services, and find quick solutions for the most common issues, on the go, wherever you are*.

Setting up Sky Q
Your engineer should have set everything up so it's all working, but here's how to do it yourself if you need to:

Getting you up and running
In most cases we can switch on your broadband without you needing to be home – remote activation. If we can’t activate your broadband remotely, we’ll book an engineer to install your line.

Getting set up
Set up your Sky hub on your Sky Broadband activation date – it won’t work before.

Use your WiFi password to connect your devices to your broadband.
Your broadband speed
