Watching on multiple devices at the same time

You can watch shows from a number of devices at the same time. The number of devices depends on which Sky Q box you have.

SkyQbox

You can:

  • Watch TV on your main box
  • Record three shows
  • Watch TV on one device, and
  • Watch TV on one Sky Q Mini box all at the same time.

You can add up to six devices and any new device will be automatically added the first time you sign into the Sky Go app with your Sky iD.

Once you've reached the maximum limit of six, any new device you try to add will automatically swap out the least used existing device. Devices without downloads will be removed first.

Please note: You'll lose any recordings/downloads on the device that is swapped out.

If you’d like to record six, go to Settings, then Setup, followed by Preferences and change Maximum number of recordings to 6. Follow the on screen instructions to restart your Sky Q box.

By changing this setting, you'll lose the live channel preview functionality in the Mini Guide and the Sky Sports split screen feature. To re-enable these features, change the maximum number of recordings back to 5.
