Sky Go devices

Sky Go supported devices

Sky Go lets you stream Sky TV on your mobile, tablet or computer and if you've got Sky Go Extra you can also watch on your games console.

We continually review device support so as new devices and operating systems appear we may stop supporting some older versions. From time to time you may need to update the software on your device.

You can watch TV on the move on up to two devices. You can double the number of devices by upgrading to Sky Go Extra, allowing you to download programmes to watch offline on up to four devices.

Let’s check if your device is compatible with Sky Go:

  • Compatible mobile devices

Sky Go is available on the following mobile devices:

    Apple:

    • iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus.
    • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus.

    • iPhone 4, iPhone 4S.
    • iPod touch (5th & 6th Generation).

If you're not sure which version of the iOS software you have:

    1. Open the Settings menu on your device.
    2. Select General.
    3. Select About.  You'll see your version number listed alongside Version.

If you need to update to the latest version select Software Update from the General menu and follow the on screen instructions. You’ll need to be connected to the internet to download your software update.

    Android:

    • All Android devices running OS Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0 and above.

Each release of Sky Go is tested on a range of flagship devices from our partner manufacturers; Samsung, Sony, Google, HTC, LG and Motorola. Although we test across a suite of devices we can’t guarantee the user experience will be consistent across every Android device.

If you're not sure which version of the Android operating system (OS) you have:

    1. Open the Settings menu (usually represented with a cog symbol) on your device.
    2. Select About device.  You'll see the version number listed under the Android version header.

If your mobile device isn’t listed above, Sky Go won’t be supported on your device. We’re constantly developing the app for new mobile devices though, so keep checking for updates.
