Using Remote Record

  1. Open the Sky Go app and sign in using your Sky iD.
  2. Select TV Guide from the bottom menu.
  3. Scroll down to view live programming across all channels, filter by category by tapping All Channels.
  4. Tap on the name programme you want to record.
  5. Tap Record, then choose if you want to Record once to Sky box or Record series on Sky box.

You can record from channels that can't be watched on your mobile by selecting the Record to Sky box tab back in the TV Guide. or alternatively you can watch those channels by connecting your Sky Q box to the Sky Go app.

Please note: It may take 30 minutes for Remote Record requests to be sent to your Sky box.

  4. Tap on the programme you want to record.
  5. Tap Record, then choose if you want to Record once to Sky box or Record series on Sky box.

For channels that can’t be watched on your computer, you can choose to record on your Sky box by selecting the Record on Sky box tab.

Please note: It may take 30 minutes for Remote Record requests to be sent to your Sky box.

Troubleshooting Remote Record

Mobile or tablet

Restart the app

  1. Open the recent apps menu.
  2. Tap and hold the Sky Go app and swipe it right to close it.
  3. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart your device

  1. Switch off the device and then restart the mobile or tablet.
  2. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Uninstall and reinstall the app

  1. Uninstall the app. Be aware that you'll lose any downloads you had.
  2. Download it again, either from Google Play Store or Huawei's AppGallery.
  3. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart the app

  1. Double tap the Home button on your device to bring up your recent apps.
  2. Swipe up on the Sky Go app to close it.
  3. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart your device

  1. Switch off the device and then restart the mobile or tablet.
  2. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Uninstall the app

Uninstalling the app will delete any downloads you have on your device.

  1. Tap and hold the app until all apps wiggle from side to side.
  2. Tap the X icon, then tap Delete to finish.

Reinstall the app

  1. Launch the App Store, tap the search bar and search for the app.
  2. Tap Get then Install. (If the app's been downloaded before, you'll see a cloud icon instead of Get)
  3. If prompted, type in your iTunes password, tap OK and the app will now install.

Restart the app

  1. Tap gear icon in right corner.
  2. Tap More and select Applications.
  3. Select Running Applications.
  4. Select the Sky Go app.
  5. Tap Forced Stop.
  6. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart your device

  1. Switch off the device and then restart the mobile or tablet.
  2. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Uninstall the app

Uninstalling the app will delete any downloads you have on your device.

  1. Tap and hold the app, then drag it to the Trashcan icon.
  2. Tap From device to finish.

Reinstall the app

  1. Launch the Amazon Appstore, tap Search and search for the app.
  2. Tap the app, then Install. (If prompted, type in your Amazon Appstore password)
  3. Tap Accept to finish and the app will now install.

Computer or laptop

Restart the app

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your keyboard.
  2. Select Task Manager.
  3. Select the Sky Go app.
  4. Press End Task.
  5. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart your device

  1. Select the Windows Buttons at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Press the Power Button.
  3. Select the option to Restart.

Uninstall the app

Uninstalling the app will delete any downloads you have on your device.

  1. Select Start, then Control Panel.
  2. Select Programmes and Features or Uninstall a programme.
  3. Delete the Sky Go folder in Roaming.

Reinstall the app

  1. Go to Sky.com.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Restart the app

  1. Press option+command+esc.
  2. Select the Sky Go app.
  3. Select Force Quit.
  4. Launch the app again to see if the problem's fixed.

Restart your device

  1. Select the Apple logo in the toolbar.
  2. Choose the Restart option.
  3. Confirm you want to restart by selecting the Restart button.

Uninstall the app

Uninstalling the app will delete any downloads you have on your device.

  1. Launch Finder, select Downloads then delete ‘SkyGoInstaller’.
  2. Launch Finder again, select Go (at the top of the screen), then Computer.
  3. Select Macintosh HD.
  4. Go to Users > [yourusername] > Applications, then delete the Sky Go app.
  5. Delete the Sky Go folder from Roaming.

Reinstall the app

  1. Go to Sky.com.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
