Fix a problem with Sky Go

Before you start
  • To use Sky Go, you need to subscribe to a Sky TV package. You’ll need the right package for the shows/movies you’re trying to watch on Sky Go.
  • If you're a new customer or have come back to us after more than a year away, you’ll be able to access all channels available on Sky Go before your services are activated. Once they’re active, you'll only be able to watch the channels in your TV package.
  • Sky Essentials TV customers don't have any active subscriptions so will only have very limited use.
  • Sky+ customers can't connect their Sky box to the Sky Go app, but can connect to someone else’s Sky Q box and view their recordings.
  • Sky Go isn’t supported on Beta versions of iOS. If you're having problems, you'll need to roll back your device firmware.
  • Sky Go doesn't support virtual private networks (VPNs) or Ad Blockers or Apple’s Private Relay feature. If you're using any of these, turn them off.

Apple devices
If your device is operating on version iOS14 or above; when Sky Go searches for a Sky Q box, you might get a pop-up message on your device asking for permission to connect to other devices on your local network. You’ll need to allow it.
