Managing devices and concurrent streaming on Sky apps

Registering and managing devices

You can register up to six devices to use the Sky Kids and Sky Go app – including games consoles using the TV from Sky app (Sky Go Extra for consoles).

Whichever app you're using, your devices will be added automatically once you've signed in with your Sky iD details. After those first six, any new devices registered will replace devices without downloads. If all your registered devices have downloads, new devices will replace those you use the least. In which case, you'll lose any recordings/downloads on those devices.

Please note: If you're using TV from Sky via games console(s), you'll only be able to use two at any one time.

See and remove registered devices

  1. Open the Sky Go app. If you don't have it, follow the steps under Online on sky.com.
  2. Go to Settings > Manage your devices. You'll see all your active devices.

To remove a device, select Remove this device.

  2. Go to Settings > Manage Devices. Follow the link to My Account where you can sign in to manage your devices.

Go to the Manage Sky apps and devices section on the TV Settings page of sky.com to see your active devices.

Concurrent streaming

  • Sky Go and Sky Go Extra customers can stream on two devices at a time.
  • Sky Q Multiscreen and Sky Glass/Sky Stream Whole Home customers can stream on four devices at a time.

Increasing concurrency (Sky Q only)

If your device is connected to Sky Q, it'll assume the concurrent streaming limits for Sky Q, i.e. two. To increase it, disconnect your device from your Sky Q box so that it can use your home WiFi connection: in Sky Go, go to Settings and select Disconnect from Sky Q.
