Managing devices and concurrent streaming on Sky Go

Registering and managing devices

You can register up to six devices on Sky Go. They’ll be added automatically once you've signed into the app with your Sky iD.

After those first six, any new devices registered will replace devices without downloads. If all your registered devices have downloads, new devices will replace those you use the least. In which case, you'll lose any recordings/downloads on those devices.

See and remove registered devices

  1. Open the Sky Go app.
  2. Go to Settings > Manage your devices. You'll see all your active devices.

To remove a device, select Remove this device.

Concurrent streaming

  • Sky Go customers can stream on two devices at a time.
  • Sky Go Extra, Sky Q Multiscreen and Sky Glass Whole Home customers can stream on four devices at a time.

Increasing concurrency (Sky Q only)

If your device is connected to Sky Q, it'll assume the concurrent streaming limits for Sky Q, i.e. two. To increase it, disconnect your device from your Sky Q box so that it can use your home WiFi connection: in Sky Go, go to Settings and select Disconnect from Sky Q.
