Connecting an Audio Induction Loop to a Sky box
Audio induction loop systems reduce background noise to help people with hearing impairments pick up sounds more clearly. They’re connected to the audio out socket of a TV or Sky box.
To connect an audio induction loop to your Sky box:
Simply connect your audio induction loop to the audio sockets on the back of your Sky+ box. These sockets are normally colour coded (red and white) and should match the colours of the cables on your audio induction loop.
Sky Q boxes don’t have audio sockets, so you can’t connect an analogue induction loop directly to your Sky Q box.
You might be able to connect an analogue induction loop to your TV using an audio jack or SCART connection. Or, you could connect a Digital audio induction loop to the Optical socket on the back of your Sky Q box.
