How does Sky Glass TV work?

Sky Glass is a 4K smart, streaming TV. All you’ll need is a strong home broadband package to stream all your favourites. Choose the right size and colour for you, and choose a Sky Entertainment package. Once your Glass TV is with you, just plug in and start watching. No dish, no box.

Who makes the Sky Glass TV?

Our Sky Glass TVs are made by our trusted hardware partners TP Vision. Based in the Netherlands, they’ve been making world-leading TVs and monitors since 2012.

Will Sky Glass work without a Sky Entertainment subscription?

Yes, your Sky Glass TV will still work as a regular TV without a Sky Entertainment subscription. You just won’t get the full range of features and rewards that Sky Entertainment customers get. Features like playlists, voice search, and rewards like VIP rewards and free cinema tickets won’t be available.

Can the Sky Glass TV be wall mounted?

Yes, Sky Glass can be wall mounted using the unique mounting bracket cleverly integrated into the TV and the Sky Glass Wall Mount. A 43-inch Sky Glass Gen 2 TV weighs 12.7kg without the stand. A 55-inch TV weighs 19.2kg. A 65-inch weighs 26.5kg. Always use a professional, reputable installer with experience in wall-mounting TVs.

What does Sky Glass include?

Your Sky Glass TV comes with built-in speakers, dual subwoofers and a matching stand available in three unique colours. It also comes with a remote and a single power cord to plug in and start watching straightaway. A Sky Entertainment subscription is separate.

Do I have to buy Sky TV & Netflix?

You have to buy a Sky Entertainment subscription when you buy Sky Glass. Our base entertainment package includes Netflix for free. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Sky Broadband is 10 x faster than Standard Broadband claim: Average download speed for Sky Ultrafast Max is 1Gb vs Sky Superfast (75Mb). Sky’s Ultrafast products are all based on FTTH (Fibre to the Home) technology. All Sky customers that qualify for an Ultrafast product will be able to achieve speeds of 1Gbps regardless of the location of their house. Sky Whole Home: Standard pricing is €20 pm. Additional 5mbps recommended for each Puck added. Sky Stream Puck (€49.95)required to watch on another TV with compatible HDMI port. Watch on other compatible devices via Sky Go. Professional install recommended to wall mount Sky Glass. Separate terms and conditions apply to Sky Glass and Sky TV subscriptions. If you do not activate within 14 days of receiving Sky Glass, we will automatically activate it for you, and you will be billed from activation.

Sky Glass must be set up in Enhanced mode to use Voice or Glance to turn TV on from standby. Colours and sizes subject to availability. Selection of content/shows/series available varies each month.

Netflix: Netflix Basic is included as part of the Sky Ultimate TV subscription and allows you to watch on one screen in SD. If you upgrade to the Netflix Standard Add On, you can watch on 2 screens and in HD, and Netflix Premium Add On allows you to watch on 4 screens and in Ultra HD. Netflix is streamed via broadband. A minimum download speed per stream of 3.0 Mbps for Netflix Basic (SD content) and 5.0 Mbps for Netflix Standard (HD content) and 25.0 Mbps for Netflix Premium (Ultra HD content) is recommended. To download content, you also need Sky Go. Downloaded content deleted from device 48 hours after viewing starts or no later than 30 days after download. Delivery: Sky Glass will be delivered by courier on the agreed delivery day and someone over the age of 18 will need to be home to sign for it. All Sky Glass devices are self-install. If you return your Sky Glass during your cooling off period, you must pay us a returns fee of €30 which will be added to your next bill.

Existing Sky TV customers moving to Sky Glass:

You can only have one Sky TV subscription at your address, so if you already have Sky Q or Sky+ , you will need to take a new TV subscription and choose a new TV package for Sky Glass. We will bill you for your existing Sky TV subscription until your Sky Glass TV subscription is activated. Any overpayments will be credited to your account automatically within 45 days. Billing for your Sky Glass TV subscription will start from your Sky Glass TV activation. If you have Sky Q, you may need to send back your Sky Q boxes within 60 days of your cooling off period ending for your Sky Glass TV or you may incur a non-returns charge. We'll send you packaging to return these. Any third party subscriptions that you do not pay for through Sky but view on your current Sky platform will not be viewable on Sky Glass. Any recordings and pay per view event purchases you have on Sky Q or Sky+ will not transfer to Sky Glass. Sky Store Buy and Keep purchases will still be accessible via the Sky Store app.
