Set up Sky TV

Your Sky TV PIN

Your Sky TV PIN is a four digit code which lets you access age restricted content, Sky Store Movies, interactive services and pay-per-view Sky Box Office events.  It also allows you to set up parental controls on your Sky box to restrict the programmes and channels that the kids can watch on your TV.

Please note:  Your Sky box must be connected to the internet to change or reset your TV PIN.  To set this up follow the steps in our Connect your box guide.

    • I've forgotten my TV PIN / I want to change or reset my TV PIN

Please note:  If you have Sky Multiscreen, with Sky boxes in more than one room, you'll have a different Sky TV PIN for each box.  Once you’ve reset your PIN, it usually takes just a few minutes to update, but can occasionally take a few hours.

      Using your Sky remote

If you’re about to watch a programme, or you’re purchasing restricted content from Sky Store or Sky Box Office, and have forgotten your Sky TV PIN, when prompted on screen, you can press red on your Sky remote to reset your Sky TV PIN, or simply follow the instructions in our help video.

      1. Select Interactive on your Sky remote.
      2. Scroll down the menu and select Reset your PIN.
      3. Enter the last four digits of one of the following three options, depending on how you pay your Sky bill.
        - The last four digits of your credit card number.
        - The last four digits of your bank account number.
        - The last four digits of your Sky account number.  This can be found on your latest Sky bill.
      4. Enter a new four digit PIN and press select.
      5. Re-enter your new PIN to confirm and press select.

You'll now see a screen confirming that your PIN has been updated.
