Sound problems on Sky Q

Variable sound on channels and adverts

You may notice changes in volume level when you switch channels or during advertising breaks.

Sound levels are controlled by broadcasters and advertisers, and some may use higher levels than others.

Sky can’t do anything about this – keep your remote handy so that you can turn the volume up or down when you need to.

Also, your TV may have settings like "Virtual surround", "Stadium", "Movie" or "Concert". If it does and the setting is unsuitable for the audio in the broadcast it may create distortion or unnatural sound.

Refer to the help for your TV for further information.
