Sky Go devices

Register your devices on Sky Go

Sky Go lets you watch Sky TV on the move, on up to two compatible devices at no extra cost.  Or upgrade to Sky Go Extra and you can register up to four devices and download shows at home to watch later on the move.

Your device limit includes Sky Go, Sky Kids and Sky Q so, for example, if you have Sky Go and Sky Kids on your compatible device it counts as one registered device and if you have Sky Go on one device and Sky Kids on another, it counts as two.

To register your devices follow the instructions below.

Before you start:

See if your device is compatible with Sky Go by checking our list of supported devices.
> Sky Go supported devices

Please note: You can change or register one new device, once per calendar month. Removing a device won’t count as a device change.

  • How do I register my compatible tablet or mobile?
    1. Download the Sky Go app.
    2.  Once it's downloaded, sign in with your Sky iD and select a programme to watch.

The programme will start to play and your tablet or mobile will be registered automatically.

  • How do I register my compatible Windows computer, laptop or Mac?

    1. Go to the Sky Go website and sign in with your Sky iD.
    2. Select On Now or Catch Up from the menu tabs, pick a programme to watch and select Watch now.
Your chosen programme will start to play and your computer will be registered automatically.

    Error messages:

If once you’ve registered your computer you see this error message "The computer you are currently using is not registered” it may be because you haven’t yet watched any programmes.

As soon as you attempt to stream a programme, your device will be automatically registered, as long as you haven't reached your device limit.

If the error message is still displayed after your device has been registered, sign out of the Sky Go website and then sign back in.

Please note: If you’ve carried out a major Windows or iOS update recently, your device may no longer be registered with Sky Go. You’ll need to register your device again and this will count as a device change for that calendar month.

  • How do I view my registered devices?
