Music on Sky Q

Listening to music from your Bluetooth device

If you want to connect your Bluetooth device so you can listen to your music through your TV, you can either watch our step by step video or simply follow the easy guide below.

  • Allow music to be sent to your Sky Q box

Enable music to be sent to your Sky Q box from your device by following these steps:

    1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote, then select Settings, followed by Setup.
    2. Select Music, then Allow music to be sent to this box.
    3. Select On to allow music to be sent to the box, or Off to prevent it.

  • Connecting your device to your Sky Q box

Once you've followed the steps above, you'll need to make sure your device's Bluetooth is turned on.

    1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote, then select Settings, followed by Setup.
    2. Select Music, then Bluetooth devices, then Add a new Bluetooth device.

Follow the on screen instructions to connect your device. When you've confirmed the connection, select Add this device on your Sky Q box.

To make sure you’re connecting to the right Sky Q box, you’ll see the box type followed by the last four digits of the serial number. For example, Sky Q 2TB Box 1234.

  • Playing music

You can now choose music on your device to play through your TV.

  • Managing your devices

You can connect up to 12 devices. If you try to add more than this, the one you added first is removed from the list.
