Receiving the message ‘please upgrade to the entertainment pass’ while in the discovery+ app
If you can see the message ‘please upgrade to the entertainment pass’ while attempting to play back shows in the discovery+ app, it means that the activation of your Sky VIP offer hasn’t completed on your account.
If you haven’t redeemed the offer:
To fix this, please visit www.sky.com/discoveryplusactivate to complete sign up, this will allow you to redeem the offer from Sky VIP.
You also need to log out of the discovery+ app, to do this, follow the steps below:
- In the discovery+ app, and on the main home screen, press left on your Sky remote control.
- A menu will now appear on the left hand side of the screen, pressing the down button on your remote, select settings, then press select.
- The settings menu is now available, using the remote select log out.
- This will then take you back to the main logon screen for discovery+.
- Once you have signed up to discovery+ via sky.com, then select, continue with Sky activation from the logon screen on the discovery+ app on Sky Q/Sky Glass.
- You will then be shown a 6 digit code, which you need to enter on the via the devices offering on the website.
7. Once this is completed, you'll be able to access the discovery+ app.
If you have already redeemed the offer:
If you have already redeemed the offer and created your discovery+ account and are still seeing this On Screen message when you attempt to play back any shows from discovery+, follow the steps below:
- Visit www.sky.com/discoveryplusactivate
- Sign in with your Sky iD and password.
- Sign in to your discovery+ account by clicking on the ‘I already have a discovery+ account’.
- You should default to the ‘Devices’ tab.
- Enter the pairing code displayed your TV screen, you can see this by accessing the discovery+ app on your Sky Q box/Sky Glass, and selecting continue with Sky Q activation, (as per the image below) once you have entered this code on the discovery+ website, you have successfully paired your Sky Q box/Sky Glass to your discovery+ account.
