Blocking unwanted calls

Call blocking lets you stop specific or anonymous numbers from contacting you. If you’re activating call blocks because of nuisance calls, you should also read our Dealing with nuisance phone calls article.

  • Block a specific phone number

    1. Dial 1 4 2 5 8 and choose bar a specific number.
    2. Input the phone number then press #.

To check which numbers you’ve barred or unblock them, dial 1 4 2 5 8 and follow the instructions.

  • Block the last number that called

    1. Dial 1 4 2 5 8
    2. Press * twice.
    3. Confirm you want to bar calls from that number.

To check which numbers you’ve barred or unblock them, dial 1 4 2 5 8 and follow the instructions.

  • Reject anonymous calls

    1. Dial * 2 2 7 #
    2. You'll hear the message "callers who withhold their number will not be able to phone you" or a long high pitched tone which confirms the service has been activated

To check anonymous call rejection is activated, dial * # 2 2 7 # and you’ll hear a confirmation message, or a long high pitched tone indicating the service is enabled. A lower pitched, intermittent tone means the feature is disabled.

If you’ve tried to activate this service and hear the intermittent tone, contact us.

To cancel anonymous call rejection dial # 2 2 7 #. To confirm you’ll hear "callers who withhold their number will be able to phone you" or a long high pitched tone.

Please note these call features are optional extras. Charges are added to your bill and can be viewed online or on your TV any time. For our latest features and prices, please see Sky Talk Call Features.
