The powerful and shocking true-life series returns to lift the lid on more of Britain's most shocking crimes, beginning with the murder of school girl Tia Sharp.
In August 2012, 12-year-old Tia went missing from her grandmother's home in New Addington, South London. The news sparked a nationwide search but unbeknown to the family and police, Tia had been sexually assaulted and murdered by her step-grandfather Stuart Hazell.
His behaviour i the wake of her disappearance was typical of similar high-profile murder cases - Hazell lead the search for Tia and help to comfort her family whilst knowing during all that time the search would be in vain.
Hazell hid Tia's body in the loft where it was discovered more than a week later. It subsequently transpired that he was obsessed with Tia and had been watching child pornography in the weeks before her death.
This brand new episode also reveals that Hazell had been secretly filming Tia before her death, the police also offer in insight into the true extent of his sexual behaviour.
Tia's grandmother Christine and mother Natalie talk about the impact the murder had on them and their family. There is also expert analysis from forensic psychologist Dr Keri Nixon and psychologist Emma Kenny, who both try to shed light on what compelled him to commit such an awful crime.
