Recorded exclusively by Sky Arts, this 10-part documentary series takes you further into the world of the Classical Brit Award-winning Rieu, and features a behind-the-scenes documentary and interviews with the Dutch maestro, the Johann Strauss Orchestra, and other musical collaborators.
The Fairy Tale

Live In Sydney

André feels this is the most beautiful Christmas concert he has ever given.
Featuring a Japanese children’s choir, Christmas around the World contains compositions such as Minuit Chrétien (O Holy Night), Walking in a Winter Wonderland, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Silent Night, Ave Maria, The Star of Bethlehem, Gesù Bambino and Evening Prayer.
New Year’s Eve Punch
This concert was recorded in December 2003 in Hanover and features special guests Bond and Russell Watson.
Live In Dublin
André and the Johann Strauss Orchestra take to the stage in Dublin in a performance which sees audience members singing along and dancing in the aisles.
The concert includes Dark Eyes, The Merry Widow Waltz and The Blue Danube Waltz, as well as rousing renditions of Irish folk tunes The Last Rose and Irish Washerwoman.
Live In Brazil
André dazzles a sell-out crowd at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo in 2012 where fans are encouraged to get out of their seats and waltz in the aisles.
André said: "My main goal, every concert, is for people to have an unforgettable night. I like to talk to my audience, interact with them and look them in the eyes. People can expect a colourful concert, with beautiful melodies, waltzes, surprises, balloons, the tenors and our lovely sopranos from South Africa, Australia and of course Brazil!"

Coronation Concert Live In Amsterdam
André Rieu described this concert as "the most beautiful day of my musical career and the crowning glory of my work!"
The great violin maestro performs at the Coronation of King Willem Alexander and Queen Máxima on April 30th 2013.
Performed in front of tens of thousands of cheering people, the concert also included an emotional thank you to the abdicating Queen Beatrix, as well as some of the King of Waltz's best-loved songs.
Songs From My Heart
André performs in Vrijthof square in his home city of Maastricht.
A spectacular light show and unforgettable performances by soloists Suzan, Carmen and Carla and the Platinum Tenors, and melodies from the My Fair Lady and Cats make for an unforgettable evening.
André Rieu discovered the Tuscan town of Cortona while on holiday and he was overjoyed to discover the Piazza Della Repubblica, an ideal spot for a concert and recording.
A performance of Rota's Love Theme from The Godfather is the high point of this romantic concert.
Live In Maastricht II
Live in Maastricht II features the Johann Strauss orchestra, 100 children from the music school, the Platinum Tenors and soloists Mirusia, Carmen and Suzan, as well as the 13-year-old musical prodigy Melissa Venema on the trumpet.
And the world-famous Mastreechter Staar male voice choir performs with André while the 150 torches held by choir members light up the show.
Live In Maastricht III
André is back in Vrijthof Square for a third summer evening concert.
He’s joined by soloists Carmen, Carla and Mirusia, the Platinum Tenors and German singer Heino as well as by an orchestra boasting 450 bass players.
Live In Maastricht IV
André invited the South African soloists to take part in this concert. Young soprano Kimmy Skota from Cape Town, the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir and the children from the Hout Bay Music Project provided a real South African atmosphere.
This concert also featured the sopranos Mirusia Louwerse and Carmen Monarcha, the Platinum Tenors, the Berlin Comedian Harmonist and a guest appearance from DJ Ötzi.

Andre Rieu treats 10,000 fans to a concert under the stars in his hometown
Featuring two guest choirs – the Harlem Gospel Choir and the Soweto Gospel Choir – and guest Sir Anthony Hopkins. The Hollywood-based star is a great admirer of André and wrote a piece called And The Waltz Goes On especially with Rieu in mind.
The concert also has guest appearances by the St. Petersburg trio, local act 'Ziesjoem', Rieu's sopranos Mirusia Louwerse, Kimmy Skota and the Platinum tenors.
Live In Vienna
Join André in stylish Vienna, in the shadow of the imperial Hofburg Palace, in the heart of the city.
Featuring compositions from Vienna's most famous composers – Strauss, Lehár, Kálmán, Mozart, Stolz and many others – and performances from the ballet of the Vienna State Opera, and the Vienna debutantes from the Elmayer Dance School.
The show includes world-famous waltzes and melodies such as the Blue Danube, Im Prater blühen wieder die Bäume and Dein ist mein ganzes Herz.

André and the Johann Strauss Orchestra give a majestic open-air performance on the Heidelberger grain market, within a romantic ruined castle.
The Berlin Comedian Harmonists join André, soloists Mirusia and Carla and the Platinum Tenors to bring you popular melodies, Waltzes, Operas and Operettas.

Roses From The South
André is joined by fantastic soloists on a languid summer's night, in the beautiful island garden of Mainau for songs including You Raise Me Up and the intimate solo Guten Abend, gut’ Nacht.
Dancing Through The Skies
Dancing Through The Skies is a concert and wedding party taking place in the world-famous Semper Opera in Dresden.
Not only are the bride and bridegroom part of the famous Vienna Debutantes, there are also 40 pairs of dancers from the same Elmayer Dance School in Vienna. The Platinum Tenors, the baritone Morschi Franz and the sopranos Mirusia and Carmen sweep up the audience in a singing frenzy.
The Flying Dutchman
Filmed in Kerkrade, Netherlands, this concert features 100 horses and riders and a squad of trumpeters and percussionists. A performance of Manhã de Carnaval is one of the evening’s show-stoppers.
Soloists Akim, Otto Waalkes and John Sheahan join regulars Carla, Carmen and Suzan.
La Vie Est Belle
From the stunning open-air Waldbühne Theatre in Berlin, André leads a concert featuring an extra drum ensemble, 300 bagpipe players and an illuminating laser and light show, in addition to a series of eye-watering fireworks.
At Schönbrunn, Vienna
Enjoy André’s biggest and most beautiful special ever in the courtyard in front of Vienna’s stunning Schönbrunn Palace, where the orchestra arrives in horse-drawn carriages.
Ice dancers, including German champions Aljona Savtschenko and Robin Szolkowy, dance to My Heart Will Go On from the film Titanic, and other tracks include Roses From The South, The Third Man, and Emperor's Waltz, and special guest DJ Otzi closes the evening with a rousing Austrian-style party.
Taking in Africa, Mexico and the sub-tropical flower island of Mainau in Germany, Fiesta Mexicana covers André’s recovery from illness.

Love songs showcases a collection of performances of the most beautiful love songs from all the Rieu specials, carefully selected by the Dutch violin maestro himself and filmed on location in some of Europe's most beautiful and exotic locations.
Songs include Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet, Sereanata, Song to the Moon, Going Home, Ballade, Greensleeves, Love Theme from The Godfather, Stranger in Paradise and more.
André takes you to the most beautiful spots he’s ever played in, including Vienna, Venice, Paris, Tuscany and Limburg.
Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra and the sopranos Suzan Erens, Carla Maffioletti and Carmen Monarcha, André plays melodies such as the Lagoon Waltz, My Heart Will Go On, Sous le Ciel de Paris, The Last Rose, Du Sollst der Kaiser Meiner Seele Sein and the world-famous Serenade by Toselli.
André travels to Majorca to introduce each item in this show, which captures him and the Johann Strauss Orchestra in some of the most romantic locales in Europe.

My African Dream
In a concert remembered for his moving collaboration with fabulous soprano Kimmy Skota and the wild enthusiasm of his South African child choir, André gives renditions of songs including Feed The World, Ave Maria and Seventy-Six Trombones.
André visits some of Europe's most beautiful locations, including two castles where he spent childhood holidays, as well as his own castle in Maastricht.
He performs a collection of some of the world's most romantic melodies, featuring performances of The Gadfly: Romance, Romeo and Juliet: Aimer, Serenade, Spartacus: Adagio, Salut D'Amour Opus 12 and more.

New York Memories
André takes to the stage at the famous Radio City Music Hall. Marking his first major performance in New York, Rieu evokes the sights, sounds and mystery of the Big Apple with Broadway hits and brilliant interpretations of great American songs.
Showcasing the talent of soprano Celine Saleh and the renowned Harlem Gospel Choir, the lively set list includes My Way, Singin' in the Rain, Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Amigos Para Siempre and The Godfather Waltz.
And The Waltz Goes On
André Rieu performs in Vienna, musical capital of the world.
Featuring the Johann Strauss Orchestra, the Platinum Tenors, and the sopranos Mirusia Louwerse and Kimmy Skota, while Oscar-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins appears for the first performance of the waltz he composed, And The Waltz Goes On.
The actor, who wrote the piece for the Dutch violinist, said: "It's a dream come true for me that André performed it with his orchestra."

Home For Christmas is recorded primarily at André's home, a romantic medieval castle in the city of Maastricht. Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, soloists and choir, André performs holiday classics in his snowy, beautiful decorated garden and Saint Pieter Church across the street from his home.
Home For Christmas includes special guest performances by The Royal Choir Society Mastreechter Staar, The Sjamaes Children's Choir and 10 year-old ballerina Rosa. The repertoire ranges from traditional Christmas classics to emotional ballads.
Our journey in Wonderland begins with the thrilling music of Thus Spake Zarathustra and unravels to that of Swan Lake, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella and many other fairytale songs.
