Romantic comedy starring Norman Wisdom and Millicent Martin and set on a transatlantic liner sailing from New York in the 1920s. With Richard Briers, Sheila Hancock.
Something of a departure for Norman Wisdom, this P G Wodehouse comedy has him and Richard Briers as two young men involved with stolen money, on a liner bound for New York in 1920. Oddly strained, the resulting film is not entirely successful, despite boasting the additional talents of Sheila Hancock, Millicent Martin, Bernard Cribbins and Ronald Fraser. Wisdom was not to stray from formula again until the conclusion of his string of crazy comedies for Rank towards the end of the Sixties.
