Set in the glamour of 1950's post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the centre of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars and socialites. Women come and go through the confirmed bachelor's life, until he comes across strong-willed Alma (Hanna's Vicky Krieps), who disrupts his carefully tailored routine. Reputedly Day Lewis's last film, this reunites him with director Paul Thomas Anderson with whom he made the Oscar-winning There Will Be Blood in 2007.
